Mr. Freeze is a scientist who must wear a cryogenic suit in order to survive, and bases his crimes around a "cold" or "ice" theme, complete with a "freeze gun". The freeze gun freezes its targets rock solid. In the most common variation of his origins story, he is a former cryogenics expert who suffered an industrial accident while attempting to cure his terminally ill wife, Nora. In order to keep her from dying he froze her, so he would have more time to find a cure. So, probably when he finds a cure, he'll probably stop being a villain and go back to his normal life. Mr. Freeze's abilities include genius-level intellect, expert in cryogenics, wields a freeze gun, and wears an exo-suit that keeps his body at sub-zero temperatures and gives him superhuman strengths.
